In-home sessions 8AM to 8PM with weekend availability, so therapy fits work and school instead of fighting them.
Two working parents, a school-age kid, and a provider who only offers Tuesday at 10am: that math never works. Budding Futures ABA runs in-home sessions across Colorado from 8AM to 8PM, with weekend availability, so therapy fits your family's actual week instead of replacing it. Rachel Blackburn, BCBA builds every plan, and Medicaid families usually pay nothing.
Why session timing is a clinical issue, not a convenience
ABA works on real routines, and routines have clocks. A bedtime plan needs a therapist who can be there at bedtime. Morning-routine goals need mornings. Weekends hold the errands, the family meals, and the loose hours where play goals actually live. When every session lands mid-day on a weekday, therapy only ever sees a slice of your child's life, and the hardest hours don't get coached at all.
Timing also decides whether the hours happen at all. When authorized hours collide with school and work, they quietly turn into missed sessions, and missed hours are how good plans die. Scheduling around your family isn't a perk, it's how the plan survives contact with reality.
How scheduling works at Budding Futures
Sessions run in your home, anywhere in Colorado, 8AM to 8PM, with weekend options based on your child's plan and team. After-school blocks are common for school-age kids, and our after-school ABA page covers that rhythm in detail. Evening blocks catch dinner, bath, and bedtime goals. Weekends carry longer practice windows and the family-heavy routines. Your child's schedule is set with you at intake, revisited whenever school or work shifts, and consistency is protected because the same team serves your child week to week.

Built for working Colorado families
The full model points the same direction: therapists come to you, so nobody leaves work early to drive to a center. Parent coaching is scheduled when parents are actually home. Benefits verification, prior authorizations, and the Health First Colorado paperwork are handled by us, up front. Coverage is usually $0 through Medicaid under Provider Types 83 and 84, typically $0 to $500 out of pocket on commercial plans, and there is no waitlist right now. Ages 18 months through 18 years, statewide, from Denver and Aurora to Grand Junction.
Scheduling is part of how our services are built around families, not the other way around.
Questions parents ask about scheduling
Are weekend sessions really available, or is that a waitlist of its own?
Weekend availability is real and depends on your child's team and plan, so ask us directly during the consultation and we will tell you what is open now, honestly. What we never do is promise a slot we cannot staff.
Can sessions split across evenings and weekends?
Yes. Plans commonly mix after-school blocks with a weekend block, especially at focused-intensity hours. The assessment sets the total; the calendar bends around your family.
What happens when our schedule changes?
Tell your BCBA, and the schedule gets rebuilt. School years, new jobs, new siblings, all of that is normal and none of it should cost your child their hours.
