Read Rachel's profile1:1 ABA Therapy in Colorado
One trained RBT, your child, your home. A BCBA supervising at roughly 20 percent. That is every session we run.
Every Budding Futures session is one-on-one: one trained RBT, your child, your home. No shared therapists, no rotating room of kids competing for attention. The plan is built for exactly one child by Rachel Blackburn, BCBA, and the data from every session belongs to that one plan. In-home across every Colorado city, Medicaid usually $0.
What 1:1 actually buys your child
Attention is the raw material of ABA. Teaching happens in small moments, a request captured, a skill reinforced within seconds, a warning sign caught early, and those moments only get caught when the adult in the room is watching one child. With 1:1 care, every rep counts toward your child's goals, the pace bends to your child's day, and a hard morning changes the session plan instead of derailing a group's.
It also decides what can even be worked on. Toileting. Feeding routines. Dressing. The meltdown at the front door. The goals families care about most aren't group activities, they're personal, and they need a therapist whose whole job, for those hours, is your kid.
The team behind the one therapist
1:1 does not mean one person alone. Your child's RBT completes 40 hours of training, a competency assessment, and fingerprint background checks before ever entering your home. Behind them, Rachel Blackburn, BCBA supervises at roughly 20 percent of therapy hours, about four times the BACB minimum, watching sessions, adjusting the plan, and answering your questions. We keep caseloads intentionally lower so that supervision level is real, not a brochure line. Proof details live on our quality and credentials page.
1:1 at home vs group settings
Group programs have their place, and some kids enjoy them. But in a group, your child shares the therapist, the goals bend toward what the room can manage together, and the schedule belongs to the center. We built the model the other way around. Therapy comes to your home, one-on-one, 8AM to 8PM, statewide across Colorado. Skills that need peers still get built, through parent coaching, sibling moments at home, and school coordination where districts let us in. For social goals specifically, our social skills page explains how peers enter the picture without a group room.

Questions parents ask about 1:1 therapy
Will my child always have the same therapist?
We aim for consistency because relationships drive progress, and our lower caseloads make same-therapist retention realistic. Coverage days happen, but your child's plan and data travel with them, so a substitute session still runs your child's program.
Is 1:1 too isolating for a social kid?
1:1 describes the teaching ratio, not your child's life. Sessions happen inside family routines with parents and siblings around, and social goals get engineered into real settings. What your child does not get is a therapist split six ways.
Does insurance pay more for 1:1?
1:1 direct therapy is the standard service insurance authorizes. There is no group discount arithmetic to worry about. We verify your exact benefits up front.
