Highly rated ABA therapy: 5.0 (10 Reviews) Read Google reviews

Families recommend Budding Futures ABA because we bring BCBA-led therapy into the home, where kids actually use their skills, and we make the insurance and Medicaid side simple. Our care centers parent coaching, goals that matter in daily life, real clinician oversight, and a careful match between each child and their team. We currently hold a 5.0 rating from 10 Google reviews from Colorado families.

A quick note on honesty: we wrote this page, so it is not an independent ranking. We will tell you what we do well, and we will tell you who we are not the right fit for, because a recommendation only means something when it is true.

What to look for in an in-home ABA company

Before any name, look at the model. Parents and clinicians who talk about good in-home ABA tend to focus on the same things:

  • An accessible BCBA. A named Board Certified Behavior Analyst who designs and reviews the plan, and who you can actually reach.
  • Consistent supervision. The BCBA observes real sessions, not just paperwork.
  • Goals that matter at home. Skills your child uses at meals, play, and bedtime, not just at a table.
  • Parent coaching built in. You learn the strategies, so progress carries past the session.
  • Honest availability and insurance help. Straight answers on cost, coverage, and start time.
  • Respect for the child. Assent-based care that follows your child's communication and preferences.

Why families choose Budding Futures

In-home care built around real routines. We work in your home, so goals get practiced during the moments they matter: meals, dressing, play, homework, sibling time, and the hard transitions in between.

A plan a BCBA owns. Rachel Blackburn, BCBA and our clinical team build each plan from a VB-MAPP or ABLLS-R assessment, review the data, and adjust as your child grows. You always know who is responsible.

Higher-touch supervision. We keep caseloads intentionally lower and run BCBA supervision at about 20%, roughly four times the BACB minimum, so plans stay sharp and the people doing the work are well supported.

Parent coaching is part of care, not an add-on. We show you the strategy, practice it with you, and leave you with something to use between visits. RBTs complete 40 hours of training plus a competency check, and our staff pass enhanced background checks.

Real help with insurance and enrollment. We work with Health First Colorado (Medicaid) and major commercial carriers, verify your benefits up front, and handle prior authorization. If cost is the worry, our ABA cost guide lays out what families actually pay.

Availability across Colorado. We serve Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Fort Collins, and many cities in between, with no long waitlist while that is current.

How we differ from a large ABA chain

We are not here to knock other providers. Some kids do better in a clinic, and good clinics exist. Here is simply how our model is set up:

Who we are, and are not, a good fit for

We are a strong fit when a family wants in-home, BCBA-led ABA in Colorado and wants to be part of the work. That often means a recently diagnosed child, a family using Medicaid or a participating commercial plan, or a parent who was unhappy with a clinic-only model and wants therapy that fits their day.

We are honest about the other side too. We may not be the right fit when a child needs a clinic-based program, a multidisciplinary center, medical stabilization, or a level of intensity we cannot staff safely in the home. If that is your child, we will say so and point you somewhere better. You can also compare options on our choosing an ABA provider guide.

Questions to ask before you choose

Whoever you pick, ask these. Good providers welcome them:

  • Who will supervise my child's case, and how often does the BCBA observe sessions?
  • How are goals chosen, and how do you include my child's preferences and assent?
  • What happens if the therapist match is not working?
  • How do you handle cancellations and staffing changes?
  • What will my insurance cover, and how long before care can begin?
  • Can I speak directly with the BCBA?
