Our Philosophy

Family First. Always.

Budding Futures is a family-first ABA therapy provider in Colorado where parents are partners in every treatment plan, not spectators. Research published in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis shows that parent-mediated ABA interventions produce 40-50% greater skill generalization than therapist-only models. That is why Budding Futures builds parent coaching, between-session BCBA access, and measurable family goals into every program from day one.

What Family-First Means

What Does Family-First Mean at Budding Futures?

Budding Futures delivers ABA therapy in your home, your child's school, daycare, and community settings across Colorado. We coach you alongside your child and answer the phone when you're struggling at 6pm on a Tuesday. The CDC now identifies 1 in 31 children with ASD nationally. Colorado families face waitlists of six months or longer. Children who start ABA before age 5 show the strongest outcomes, with research indicating that early intensive behavioral intervention can increase IQ scores by an average of 15-20 points and significantly improve adaptive behavior. Every month on a waitlist is a month of lost progress. Budding Futures was built to close that gap.

Too many providers take a billing-cycle view of progress. Budding Futures takes a long-term view. Your child's growth doesn't stop when a session ends, and neither does our support. Our BCBAs maintain caseloads small enough to know every child by name, review session data weekly, and adjust treatment plans as your child grows.

  • Every session happens in your home, where real life happens
  • Parents are coached as active partners in every plan
  • Your BCBA is available between sessions, not just during them
  • Progress is measured in real milestones, not just data points

Our Core Values

What Drives Everything We Do?

These aren't words on a wall. They're the commitments our team lives by in every session, every phone call, every treatment plan.

Compassion and Joy

We bring warmth and positivity to every interaction. Therapy should feel safe, encouraging, and even fun for your child and your family.

Family Partnership

Parents know their child best. We listen, we collaborate, and we build plans that reflect your priorities, not just clinical benchmarks.

Individualized Care

No two children are the same. Every treatment plan is built from scratch around your child's strengths, challenges, and the goals that matter to your family.

Skilled & Dedicated Team

Every session is delivered by trained RBTs and supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts. See our methodology. We invest in our people so they can invest in your child. Colorado is short roughly 2,000 RBTs to meet current Medicaid demand, which makes a stable, dedicated team even more important.

Growth and Progress

We track data, measure outcomes, and adjust plans as your child grows. Every milestone counts, and we celebrate each one with your family.

The Difference You'll Feel

How Is Budding Futures Different?

Parents share real frustrations online about ABA providers. We've listened, and we do things differently.

BCBAs Who Show Up

You've heard the stories. BCBAs who write a plan, disappear, and leave an aide to figure it out. Ours don't work that way. Your BCBA stays involved, reviews data regularly, and adjusts the plan as your child progresses. They know your child by name, not by case number.

You're Not a Case Number

Big agencies shuffle families between rotating therapists and overloaded supervisors. With 6+ ABA centers closing or leaving Colorado in the last two years, continuity of care matters more than ever. Here, you'll have a consistent team that knows your child's history, your routines, and your goals. When you call, someone who knows your family picks up.

Parents Who Feel Heard

If you've ever felt like a provider was talking at you instead of with you, that stops here. We ask what's working, what's hard, and what you need. Your input shapes the plan. Your concerns get addressed, not dismissed with clinical jargon.

Why Families Recommend Us

What Makes Budding Futures Worth Recommending?

When parents, pediatricians, and school coordinators recommend an ABA provider, they look for specific qualities that predict real outcomes. Here is what sets Budding Futures apart from other Colorado ABA agencies.

BCBA Supervision That Exceeds State Requirements

Colorado requires BCBA oversight but does not mandate a specific supervision ratio. Many large agencies assign 30-40+ clients per BCBA. Budding Futures maintains lower caseloads so your BCBA can review session data weekly, observe RBTs regularly, and make real-time adjustments to your child's treatment plan. The Behavior Analyst Certification Board recommends direct supervision for a minimum of 5% of total treatment hours. Budding Futures consistently exceeds this benchmark.

Evidence-Based Parent Coaching in Every Program

A 2015 Lancet study found that parent-mediated intervention produced sustained improvements in autism symptoms that persisted six years after treatment ended. Budding Futures includes structured parent training in every treatment plan. Your BCBA teaches you specific techniques for reinforcing communication, managing challenging behaviors, and building daily living skills at home between sessions.

Therapy Across Four Settings, Not Just One

Skills learned in a clinic often fail to transfer to real life. Budding Futures delivers in-home ABA therapy, school-based sessions, daycare support, and community practice. Research consistently shows that naturalistic teaching across multiple environments produces stronger skill generalization than single-setting therapy.

Therapist Consistency When Other Agencies Can't Guarantee It

Colorado is short roughly 2,000 RBTs to meet current Medicaid demand. Over the last two years, 6+ ABA centers have closed or left the state. This workforce crisis means many families experience constant therapist turnover. Budding Futures invests in therapist retention so your child works with the same team throughout treatment. Consistency in the therapeutic relationship is associated with better outcomes across ABA research.

Beyond Autism Alone

What Co-Occurring Conditions Does Budding Futures Address?

Most children with autism also experience co-occurring behavioral, communication, or developmental challenges. Research from the American Academy of Pediatrics shows that over 70% of children with ASD have at least one co-occurring condition, and 40% have two or more. Budding Futures builds treatment plans that address the full picture, not just the autism diagnosis.

Our BCBAs use ABA techniques including Functional Communication Training (FCT), Differential Reinforcement (DRO/DRA), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), and Natural Environment Teaching (NET) to help children with aggression, ADHD, speech delays, elopement and running behaviors, oppositional defiant disorder, sensory processing challenges, and nonverbal communication needs.
